At the hub of the City and Community of Wall Lake is the Community Center. Inspired by the vision and generous donation of Gus and Lillian Schroeder and withe the financial and voluntary support of the entire community, the Community Center was moved from theoretical to actual. With its first event hosted in September 2005, it rapidly became an integral part of the community.
Housing city offices, a fitness room, the 60 Plus Nutrition Agency-Noon Meal program, a media/education center and a large banquet facility, our state-of-the-art Community Center provides a variety of services to the community. The banquet facilities will comfortably handle 350-400 people. Hosting a variety of events, from business meetings to luncheons, dinners, receptions, and parties. The center is a full service facility with an institutional-size kitchen, fully stocked bar, dance floor and event furnishings.
The Upper level event pricing is a fee of $250.00 for full usage of the 9,000 sq. ft. facility, which consists of full-kitchen services, the serving room, and the bar/lounge area. A fee of $150.00 is charged for the upper main level hall including the dance floor but no kitchen or service room. For smaller meetings needing only the service room and kitchen area, there is a $100.00 charge. Room rental also includes with no charge: Portable screen, overhead projector, wipe board/pad/easel/markers, sound system with wireless microphone and podium. A list of rental items with pricing are available for both meetings and wedding rentals.
For the lower level, pricing is a fee of $50.00, with the choice of the 60+ meal site (limited kitchen usage), the community room, or the smaller meeting/education room. Each room can seat up to 50 individuals. There is no additional charges on either level for use of tables and chairs or set up prior to an event or tear down after. We provide 60" round tables seating 6-8 people and have a few 8" banquet tables for your event needs.
